2006 11 08 In these days of trying to find a natural way to do things I was amazed at the tips I gleaned from this fascinating book Another neglected resource that can be utilised in very positive ways.
I was somewhat disappointed in this book It contains a lot of the history and anecdotes about urine, which is all fine and interesting, but I was looking for some real, scientific, agriculture based recipes of how to prepare it and how to use it, and I found nothing than suggestions much like you can find for free on the internet An interesting little book Just not what I was really hoping it would contain.

best book on the subject I can find Full of great information and easy to read I highly recommend it for those hesitant to use urine in gardens.
I found Liquid Gold to be an interesting, if a somewhat odd read Lots of pictures of urinals and pee collection equipment, which are attractive in an odd sort of way.
I had the book delivered to my office and showed it around, and found it to be worth its cost in the jokes and quips it generated.
If you are a male and can collect your pee for the compost heap, then that is a practical way to go Otherwise, the other things Liquid Gold recommends, such installing a proper urine collecting toilet, may be a step too far for the majority.
This is an informative book and one that I am using to my advantage Squirrels have been stealing all my fruit for a long time, since using some of the suggestions in the book, there are already noticeably few squirrels coming into the garden so fingers crossed I am hoping that this year I will be able to pick some of the fruit for my table Good book Useful information, and clear instructions for practical use.
A very interesting, if short, book for a person who is interested in recycling, growing your own veg, eutrophication, science etc At first it really does sound like a mad idea, but what did we all do before the invention of the loo I like the urine stories which are nice if you happen to be a biology teacher and want to spice up your kidney or nitrogen cycle lessons also the experiments of growing crops with and without urine are proof it works To sum up, it was quite afun read and it gives some food for thought, and some huge onions this year so far In these days of trying to find a natural way to do things I was amazed at the tips I gleaned from this fascinating book Another neglected resource that can be utilised in very positive ways.
