Trailer ¼ Surely Youre Joking Mr Feynman PDF by ✓ Richard Feyman I love this book Constructed from a series of interviews, it covers Richard Feynman s life from childhood to probably the late 1970 s.
Clearly it s from his point of view, and only covers areas he felt like discussing, so there s very little about his marriage although there is another book which has detail on that , and nothing about the Challenger disaster again, another book.
But the anecdotes are interesting, some are hilarious, and I ve managed to get my son to read and enjoy this as well His time with the Manhattan Project is a particular source of amusement, and his move to Brazil is another rich fountain of anecdotes.
The Big Bang Theory has probably brought his name to the attention of another generation of people.
You ve probably got at least 2 series worth of material in this book.
This book will appeal to all Not a usual autobiography of a leading scientist, but humorously recalled stories from the way he grew up and became a scientist Top marks to RPF The Nobel Prize Winning Theoretical Physicist Talks About His Adventure Filled Life In A Series Of Transcribed Taped Discussions If you re looking at this book and have spent the time to scroll through and read the reviews, just add it to your cart already One of the most brilliant minds of the 20th century, Feynman has a remarkable ability to break down the complexities of advanced physics and talk about the problems he faced and solutions he discovered with the same zest and sharp wit as when he talks about his foray in a band in Brazil s Carnival and his saving of the local Gentlemen s Club The nickname The Great Explainer is well deserved and this memoir is full of great stories written in digestible sized pieces.
One of the most fascinating and entertaining books i ve ever read This book is worth it You get the sense that Feynman was as the title says, indeed a curious character His focus on understanding the world drove him, and his willingness to accept those who were different, or experience things foreign formed the basis for these memoirs The stories told in here give a sense of an original man whose take on most things was decidedly unique.
This was a Christmas gift for my husbandHe enjoyed the book, however I was very disappointed when it arrived and the front cover had been bent back leaving a large crease Too late to send it back for another it was the first thing he noticed

This was a very interesting read Feynman was a fascinating character and the work he did over the years is incredible to read about his era seems like another world to someone born shortly before the collapse of the Soviet Union.
This guy is something else Incredible stories This is a great book where you can see how he thinks and how he decomposes a subject to be able to understand it and teach it to a five years old.
