Often hilariously funny Margaret Atwood is highly intelligent and writes wittily in this parody of Shakespeare s The Tempest.
She knows that play very well and is able to see it through the eyes of sketchily educated prisoners Their take on the play and their re writing of some scenes is sheer genius on the part of the author Their improvised costumes are a theatrical event in themselves This is a most amusing and interesting work.

Joan Pugsley Margaret Atwood is one of my favourite writers She certainly maintained her high standards with this book It is one of the better book in the Hogarth series.
This is the first time in ages that I read a Margaret Atwood novel and it was an enjoyable read I could relate to the principle character through my love of theatre and the personal experience of being maneuvered out of job in which I truly thrived The story was believable and satisfying I would recommend it whole heartedly.
Thankful for quick delivery and another great Atwood read.
Fantastic I enjoyed everything about this modern update on Shakespeare Beautifully written, great approach, hugely entertaining.
