Everyone needs to read this book This young author has experienced grief than most do in 3 lifetimes Written with honesty, a touch of humour even, and most importantly hope for the future For those who feel they can t do it, Zoe has I m not a Widow but I have lost people in my life I loved the honesty and rawness of this book I also loved the lists of things to do and not do, I actually took screen shots of them so I can be a better friend to those in my life when they lose loved ones.
Wow I just got the book in the mail tonight and I have finished reading it as I couldn t put it down 2hrs later Honestly don t know what to say other than wow This young lady is such an inspiration I couldn t put this book down Now, I know Zoe and I love her to bits, which might make me biased, but she had been to hell and back Twice.
When asked by the author if I thought it was too depressing and morbid, I immediately said no This isn t a book about despair, it s a book about hope, which is surprising given it is about grief, mental health and suicide.
Zoe is one of my favourite people in the world, yet life has thrown the unimaginable at her Yet, through all this hardship and heartbreak, she had gone on a journey of self discovery and written some of the wisest words I ve ever read You can t say I know how she feels , unless you have gone though something similar which, I pray you haven t.
Out of this, Zoe has written a book that gives hope, advice and even a few laughs It s emotional, it s raw and it s beautiful.
